A language model, embedded
A compact neural network lives inside the app. It compares what labels mean rather than how they are spelled, which lets it recognise a merchant through abbreviations, terminal numbers and the typos banks are so fond of.

When a business stays unknown, Nemoris can query the French national business register or Maps to recover its trading name and address. You trigger the search, and only the business name is sent — never the amount, never your account.

On supported devices, Apple's language model lends a hand with the hard cases. It runs on the device too. If it isn't available, everything keeps working: it is never the part carrying the weight.

The device reads and classifies
Apple's text recognition extracts the content, then the model works out whether this is an order statement or a photo of a portfolio — two documents with neither the same structure nor the same meaning.

You confirm
Positions, quantities, cost basis and orders are shown to you before anything is written. Nothing enters your accounts without your explicit approval.
Your crypto wallets and exchange accounts can also sync on their own, from a public address or a read-only key you generate yourself. That key is kept in the device keychain and is never sent anywhere else.

Your keys stay on your device
If you connect a crypto wallet or an exchange account, the read-only keys you generate are kept in the system keychain. Requests go straight from your device to the service concerned. No data passes through an intermediary server, because there isn't one.

What people ask us.
If everything is on my phone, what happens if I lose it?
That is exactly what the automatic backups cover. A dated copy goes to your iCloud Drive every day and stays there for thirty days. It survives losing the device as well as uninstalling the app: on a new phone, Nemoris offers to pick up from your latest backup. If you enabled iCloud sync, your other devices already have everything.
Why not connect directly to my bank?
Because it would force a middleman into the picture. Automatic bank connections always run through a licensed aggregator that holds your credentials and sees every transaction — which would give up the very promise of the app. Nemoris prefers importing the statement your bank already provides: a few seconds a month, and nobody in between.
Does the AI send my spending anywhere?
No. The engine that identifies your merchants is embedded in the app and works in airplane mode. Two external services can be called on, only when you ask and only for an unknown business: the French national business register and Apple's mapping service. In both cases only the business name is sent — never an amount, never a date, never anything that identifies you.
What happens to my work if Nemoris disappears?
Your data stays readable. The file is a standard SQLite database, an open and documented format that dozens of tools can open. You can export it at any time from the settings. No feature depends on a server that could be switched off, because there is no server at all.
Is iCloud sync genuinely private?
It relies on Apple's end-to-end encryption, inside your own iCloud. The keys live in your keychain: Apple cannot read the contents, and we can read them even less, since we run no infrastructure. Sync is off by default — without it, nothing ever leaves the device.
Is Nemoris available today?
Not yet. The app is well into development and is already in daily use on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Join the waiting list to hear when the trial opens, and again at launch.
